Hi

Description:

Add windows server to Nagios monitoring.

Solution:

1. Login to the Nagios server and go to the configuration directory:

# cd /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects

# vi hosts_windows.cfg

add next lines under "Windows HOST Definitions"

define host{
use windows-host
host_name host1.local
alias IL Physical DC
address host1.local
contact_groups IT_host_group
}

That will monitor server for default parameters "CPU, disk C free space e.t.c" If you need to monitor additional

services you need to add them under "Services" line in the same file .

3. save the file

# testme

# reloadme

That's it.

Thank you.
