Hi All

Sharity 3.9 installed on HPUX 11.31 PARIC and ITANIUM.

HPUX level:   QPKAPPS                       B.11.31.1309.397 Applications Patches for HP-UX 11i v3, September 2013
                     QPKBASE                       B.11.31.1309.397 Base Quality Pack Bundle for HP-UX 11i v3, September 2013

All NFS related packages and fixes installed.

sharity mount smb:// /test -U test -D mydomain

return error:

Invalid argument.
Error Context: returned by mount task

Also i got this error on installation stage and on starting sharity service: /sbin/init.d/sharity3 start

to enable sharity debug mode: sharity debug file logLevelsDebug

to stop debug: sharity debug syslog

debug file: /tmp/sharity-debug.log

errors in debug during smb mount command:

280.608 3 nfsmnt/trace: mount task returned 22 (wait rval = 0)

280.608 3 oderrorcfg/trace: odErrorCfgCreate: created error 0x4039ff28 = UNIX_EINVAL

280.608 3 nfsmnt/err: performMount(/test1): UNIX_EINVAL

280.608 3 vfsimp/trace: cifsVfsFree for share: 0x40383020

280.608 3 vfsimp/trace: cifsVnodeReclaim: reclaiming -><-

The system call API for mounting may have changed. On HP-UX, we can use the mount utility instead of the mount() system call.

1. Add following lines to /usr/local/sharity3/var/local.cfg

nfs = {

    useSystemMount = yes;

    systemMountTemplate = ("/usr/sbin/mount", "$readonlyFlag", "-o", "proto=$protocol,intr,actimeo=$attrCacheTime,llock", "nfs://localhost:$port/$roothandle", "$mountpoint");

    systemUmountTemplate = ("/usr/sbin/umount", "$forceFlag", "$mountpoint"); }

2. restart sharity service:

/sbin/init.d/sharity3 stop

/sbin/init.d/sharity3 start

This change will be permanent through updates. If you want to test it, you can edit the file:

and make temporary changes.

Thank you.
